Lily & Callum booked me for their beautiful Kent Wedding at The Orangery in Maidstone.
I have photographed here previously and was so keen to get back and make the most of the stunning grounds. Having such a great backdrop to start with is always such a winner- and paired with a great couple that were pretty much up for anything, it was golden.
What was really lovely for me was that I went to school with Lily, so when her and Callum booked me to capture the day I was thrilled.
Set on 11th July 2022 it was pretty much the start of this epic heat wave that we have been having in the UK this year.
Now, photographers are never huge fans of the harsh midday sun. We head for any shade available so that you guys don't
1. Squint in every photo
2. Sweat desperately under your jackets.
We know you need to keep cool- we hear ya!
However, the great thing about this time of year is that there is more beautiful light available for longer. Lily & Callum were lucky enough to get two sets of couple photos, one during the drinks reception and then a gorgeous set during golden hour. If you follow my work closely you will know that if we can help it, we never miss a golden hour! This beautiful light really is the cherry on top of the icing!
Lily & Callum were a joy to work with. Their outdoor ceremony was so peaceful and the relationship with their guests was so lovely to see throughout the day.
They had so much fun together which is really why their gallery was such a true success. From guest human pyramids to brides and grooms flying off the back of swings this wedding was a highlight of my summer.
Thankyou guys, Enjoy
